Patrol Division

The backbone of the Lower Makefield Township Police Department is the patrol division. The division is supervised by the lieutenant and each squad is supervised by a sergeant and a corporal. Patrol officers are trained in a variety of areas of law enforcement duties and some serve dual specialties. They work a rotating shift and generally operate a marked police vehicle. A patrol officer’s duty can vary on a daily basis from answering a call of a robbery in progress to assisting a resident that may have been locked out of their home. Our police officers are highly trained and educated professionals. Some have come to Lower Makefield Township from other law enforcement agencies and have brought a wealth of experience and knowledge with them.
