Accident Investigation

The department has six officers that are trained as accident re-constructionists. These officers have attended approximately seven weeks of accident investigation training, including classroom time and actual hands-on training in the field. Theses officers would typically handle major accidents that occur within the township such as a fatality or commercial vehicle accidents. The officers are occassionally called to assist other law enforcement agencies at major accident scenes outside of Lower Makefield township. The department has a Crime Scene SUV that is specifically equipped for crime and accident scenes that require more specialized equipment.
